SUMMER BALL PROGRAMS

The Summer Ball Programs, also referred to as the summer "All-Star" season starts at the end of the Spring Ball Season. Tryouts for 9U, 11U and 13U Divisions typically take place in late May. The All-Star season usually runs from late June through to mid-August. There are additional fees for those participating in the summer program.

Each division forms various teams at different levels. Details can be found and tryout information and links can be found below.

13U DIVISION ALL-STAR SEASON

NMBA will form a 13UA team for Summer Ball.

The 13UA All-Star Team will play primarily on Vancouver Island. They will practice 2 - 3 times per week and will have weekend games. This team will travel for games. Travel will include 2 - 3 trips to the mainland. These mainland trips will be multi-day.

Practice times will start the 3rd week of June and the season continue until the end of provincials in mid-August.

There will be an additional fee to for players who as successfully rostered to the 13UA All-Star Team, as well as expenses for travel. There will be team fundraising opportunities created to help offset costs.

11U DIVISION ALL-STAR SEASON

NMBA will form the following team for Summer Ball.

  • 11UAAA
  • 11UAA
  • 10UAAA

Practice times will start the 3rd week of June and the season continue until the end of provincials in mid-August.

There will be an additional fee to for players who as successfully rostered to an All-Star Team, as well as expenses for travel. There will be team fundraising opportunities created to help offset costs.

11UAAA All-Star Team will practice 3-4 times per week and will have weekend games. This team will travel for games. Travel will include 3 - 5 trips to the mainland. These mainland trips will be multi-day. The team will roster 12 players.

11UAA All-Star Team will practice 2-3 times per week and will have weekend games. This team will travel for games. Travel will include 2 - 3 trips to the mainland. These mainland trips will be multi-day. The team will roster a maximum of 12 players.

10UAAA All-Star Team will practice 3-4 times per week and will have weekend games. This team will travel for games. Travel will include 2 - 3 trips to the mainland. These mainland trips will be multi-day. The team will roster a maximum of 12 players.

  • 9U Travel Teams (potentially 2)
  • 9U Local Teams (potentially 2 - 3 depending on coaches and player numbers)

Practice times will start the 3rd week of June and the season continue through the August long weekend.

There will be an additional fee to for players who as successfully rostered to an All-Star Team.

9U Summer Travel Teams will practice 2-3 times per week and will have weekend games. These teams will not travel off island, all games will be on Vancouver Island. These teams will participate in the regional tournament in Duncan at the beginning of July. These teams will also participate in organizing and playing in the Annual NMBA 9U Summer Smash Tournament taking place on the August long weekend (info TBA). These teams will each roster a maximum of 12 players

9U Summer Local Teams will practice 1 time and have 1 game per week and may have weekend games. These teams may carry more than 12 players.
