NMBA 15U Division
2026 Season Player Birth Years: 2011-2012
The 15U Division is about having fun playing recreational baseball. Players are expected to have fundamental baseball skills, know the rules, listen to their coaches, and be great teammates. Game play will be against other Nanaimo teams and mid-island associations, concluding with playoffs in mid-June.
Registration for 2026 15U Spring baseball will be capped as a result of field availability, and may be further capped based on volunteer coach availability. NMBA will roster a maximum of three 15U Spring teams, each with a maximum 15 players (maximum 45 players total). No teams will be rostered without a confirmed Head Coach volunteer, which may result in the caps being lowered in increments of 15 players (eg. if only two 15U Head Coaches step forward, the 15U cap will be 30 players). Players will be accepted to the Spring program based on date of registration (first-come, first-served), with preference given to players whose parents volunteer in a Head Coach or Assistant Coach capacity.
SPRING BALL INFORMATION
2026 Spring Ball Season will be 10 weeks: April 7 - June 13
Teams will typically practice one or two time per week and have one or two games per week with some doubleheaders on weekends. Practices are typically 90 minutes and games are 7 innings or approximately two hours. Practices will be on Mondays and Thursdays between 4:30 pm and 8:00 pm at Robins Park or Mariner Field (Serauxmen Sports Field). Games will include playing against other mid-island associations, including playoffs at the end of the season. The final season game schedule will be developed in March.
Balanced teams will be formed based on evaluation scores. Team number and size will be based on the number of players registered and the number of coach volunteers. In the event that we are short coaches, some players may not be placed on a team SO IT IS VITAL THAT WE HAVE LOTS OF COACHES!
Registration fees will be refunded for any player not placed on a team
